...and simpler elements still.  One theme of the Residency was a consistent return to pattern, every 3rd or 4th piece.  My eye tends to pull repeated shapes out of what I see, and certainly what I paint.  “Dancing” was a loose, painterly patterned interpretation of the landscape.
